Churches in Epsom and Ewell have been coming together to celebrate Easter every year. Over a hundred local Christians gather first to watch the enactment of the Jesus’ arrest. The procession then starts from the Depot Road car park, with Jesus carrying the cross surrounded by Roman soldiers. The local police close the roads to traffic for the procession to march through safely.
Crowd march through the Epsom High Street and gather at the Clock Tower. The final act of crucifixion is staged at the Clock Tower followed by some singing.
